My name is Dan Thompson, and I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California. I’ve been a professional photographer for over a decade, but I’ve been taking pictures all of my life.
As a photographer, I use my camera to bring into focus what really matters. I consider my style jouirnalistic and candid. I do my best to break the mold, and think outside of just posing.
If you don’t feel comfortable, you won’t look comfortable – there’s no forced, awkward posing, or hoops to jump through. Your photos should reflect who you are, and I make every attempt to make sure that we capture moments worth remembering.
I focus primarily on portraiture, but I love all forms of photography. I’ve studied philosophy, I brew beer, and I enjoy building things. I have a history in video game development, journalism, pizza making, and robotics.
